Quick Bio
My name is Coach Alexander Smith, but I go by Coach AJ. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and have been playing and following baseball since I was four years old. During the summers in high school, I was a camp counselor at my local recreational center for kids ranging from 5 years of age to 13 years. I truly love the game of baseball and having the opportunity to work with youth players and them the proper techniques and mindsets of the game is a blessing.

At a young age, I began playing catcher, and never looked back. Growing up, I have played at every level of baseball, from T-Ball to Little League, from high school ball to club baseball in college.
A normal lesson with me would be focusing on the overall fundamentals of the game, including fielding, hitting, throwing, base-stealing and footwork. My main goal with my clients are not necessarily to turn them into the next Mike Trout or Mookie Betts, but rather to show them that baseball is fun, teach them good habits, and to build their confidence in playing the sport. I am excited for the opportunity to meet and work with your player and help them develop and grow!
