My name is Coach Jarryd Samsing. I am a young and energetic College Grad assistant with 15 years playing experience, 2 years NCAA D3 experience, and 1 year coaching NCAA D3. I love the game and feel grateful for what it has given me and the opportunity to teach youth players to help them in their path.

I am currently an assistant coach at Whittier College and have recently gained experience coaching club ball from ages 8-16u. I have experience coaching technique, mental training, the tiny details, and even physical training. I am ISSA Personal Training Certified, Nutritionist certified, as well as CPR certified.
I grew up playing baseball at 8years old in Lake Forest, CA and moved to Goodyear, Arizona to finish junior high and high school baseball. I grew up always playing catcher until high school; I split time playing outfield and catcher. I received many college offers for both football and baseball and ended up choosing to pursue baseball at Whittier College, a NCAA D3 school east of Los Angeles. In college I was the starting LF for my two years there while also making appearances at catcher and relief pitcher late in the season. I led my team in doubles my sophomore year and was able to prove I can play multiple positions at a high level. Although my time was cut short due to COVID-19, I will always cherish the game and translate it into things I can teach other players.
A lesson with me would be beneficial especially due to the fact that I am a recent player and actually continue to still chase the dream today. I definitely can give a unique insight especially being from Arizona where baseball is more easily prominent and where professionals spend a lot of time. I have also had the honor and luck to have been coached by amazing coaching throughout my career, a lot of whom I still have connections with and who are also ex-professional players.
